A Birthday High Tea08:48:00
I recently celebrated another birthday milestone here in the paddock. I am now officially in my mid-thirties.
I am now of the age that I, myself once described as being old.
As I write this I giggle thinking of all the times out with the girls, partying at clubs in our early 20's where anyone that we met that was over 30 was like 'so old, OMG' ha ha!!
Regardless of these years that pass and so quickly may I just add, I always like a bit of an occasion to celebrate these ageing milestones and this year was no exception.
I gathered myself a gaggle of lovely ladies on Saturday afternoon and we enjoyed a High-Tea at our local gallery here in town. It is just a new thing the cafe has started here on the third Saturday of the month and I thought it would be nice to check it out and it didn't disappoint.
Uninterrupted by toddlers; conversations flowed and laughter ensued as we sipped away on bubbles, drank tea and coffee out of pretty cups and enjoyed morsels of sugary and savoury delights.
It really was lovely.
To my pleasant surprise the bubbles were Hanging Rock's very own Macedon NV Cuvee. The perfect drop to begin an occasion such as this.
Its also a birthday milestone for this blog. From humble beginnings of macrame and my kitchen shelf I've clocked over a year on the inter webs telling the world stories of my life here in the paddock.
Time certainly flies when you are having fun as the old saying goes.
I thought it'd be ever so appropriate that with all these milestones and celebrating going on that a giveaway for my entourage of readers wouldn't go astray. You know, to say a huge thank you for all the kind comments and words, encouragement, laughs and generally for just clicking onto my page. Some of you are even making return trips here and honestly it really does mean a lot.
So after checking all the legalities, I will hint to you that its going to involve wine (got you hooked now ha!) its pink and flamingo inspired and all will be revealed on the blog very soon so stay tuned. Im very excited...
Have you celebrated anything lately?
Been to a fancy shmancy High-Tea? Where was it? Do tell. I loved it so much I'm going to have to start researching where Im going to have my next one.
