Interview with a Husband08:33:00
Its been a few weeks now since I have made an appearance here and Ill tell you, this pregnancy thing is really taking its toll now as we reach the end. It certainly wasn't this hard with the other two at this stage. Im tired, sore, my brain is the epitome of what is known as baby mush brain, I am stretched to the max and feeling very lazy and unbothered with doing anything. I still have heaps of jobs to do around the house and of course I still have to look after and entertain the other two, god bless their little cotton socks. They are getting a bit impatient as I am now with this baby coming which is very cute as they smack my tummy and ask when its coming, and it is only a week or so to go. Holy Moly. Thank goodness!
Everybody, meet Cameron.
‘Aahhmm.....How can you pick the best part. How about you are nice and relaxed, which balances out my unrelaxed state’.
‘Example please’ I ask
‘Probably putting brown sugar on the porridge before the oatbran. Its not how you are suppose to do it...and you hold secateurs upside down. As a member of a viticultural family this is a crime....Generally you do lots of things back to front.'
Clearly I have nothing to worry about here.
HHhhhmmmmmmmm.....taking a while, I mustn’t have one. Score!!
Oh hang on he thought of one.
‘Biting your nails’.
I am not surprised by this. I am even annoyed by my own habit.
‘Can I come back to this one. Pass.’
‘Your fun personality’
‘Cuddles, (short pause).....and going to work.
He starts laughing..
I too am laughing at the work answer bit and my 3 yr old is asking Cam what is so funny and he replied
‘Im trying not to be’.
‘Because I have two and soon to be three perfect little cherubs. I love watching them growing up into little people.’
‘Being responsible for the kids for the entirety of a day. Man that's hard work!’
‘Opportunities to go and see and try new things.’
'Anything in particular’ I ask
‘New places, restaurants, weekends away, day trips. All that nice couple stuff.’
I miss that too actually.
Of course he cant think of one. So I tell him to choose out of the ones he does do.
Ironing his work shirts, putting out the bins, mowing the lawns, doing the dishes, or putting his clothes away. Gosh he has it easy!
‘Putting clothes away.’ he says.
That's the worst by far!
'Mowing the lawn'
‘I don't cook’ he says
For which I replied, ‘yes, but if you did happen to have to cook, what would you cook’?
I think he should cook this weekend don't you?
‘When I constantly clear my throat.’
He said he didn’t know so I had to assist by putting some of the following words in his mouth.
‘Hardworking, very loving and affectionate, very smart, you are a wonderful dad and you love me’.
Why do you think Elisha is lucky to be married to you?
‘Compromise and looking at things from the others point of view. Try not to upset the other too much in an argument.
Its never nice being put on the spot like this so Cam has done well.
It sure is nice to hear it though don’t you think? The good answers of course, oh who am I kidding its all good.
Watch this space for some baby news.
How do you think your hubby or other half would answer some of these?
Linking up for the Weekend Rewind at Maxabella Loves and FYBF at With Some Grace.
