The Autumn Break15:45:00
The Autumn break is here apparently and there's nothing like a good chat with someone down the street about the rain. How much, whether it be in inches or in mls; everyone is loving the rain. Break or no break, 88mls in the rain gauge in the backyard is a bloody heap of rain if you ask me and is quite enough to make the garden and this garden fairy very happy once again.
After two days of solid rain and after being rather housebound, the kids and I finally got to go and venture outside again, gumboots and all. Seeming as I posted the Windmill-Wine-Down yesterday, here is a little account of what we saw.
A bit of a wilt happening on the grasses from the weight of all the rain.
Dahlia love. Now in the front garden. Yessss!!
My darling buds of May. Chrysanthemums are a comin'!
Enjoy that rain soaking leaf, as you will be gone very soon indeed.
Heavy, rain drenched Camellia petals all over the ground.
Too much fun kids.
The lake was sure bubbling along this morning.
Did you enjoy the rain at your place?
Thanks for visiting today.
Have a great weekend.
