Holiday Flashbacks #2 Beachin it08:22:00
Every summer we get the opportunity to spend two whole weeks down the surf coast of Victoria at our family beach house. How lucky are we? Its such a beautiful place and every year there is something new to see or a new cafe or shop to coffee and cake at or browse through. There is always lots of the extended family around as they to have a few houses not far from us, so there is never a boring moment as there is always someone to go and visit and hang out with on the beach. The kids loved it and this year being just that little bit older, they actually enjoyed the beach (for more than 10 minutes) and the rock pools this year were the biggest hit. I did take a lot of photos, a lot of scenery stuff and am wishing I took my camera out more to get more of the kids. But I guess there is always next year.
If you have been down this way along the Great Ocean Road, you will probably recognise a few of the landmarks in the pictures.
Up on the cliff walk looking out to Eastern View at low tide.
Cliff walk up to the Split Point Lighthouse. There is a brilliant little coffee shop next to lighthouse and they do the best iced coffees. A great little stop to break up a walk.
Agapanthas in bloom in the driveway at the house. A weed many would say down the coast, but I think they look great. If you de-head the blooms before they start to dry and drop off, then they cant spread around anyway!!
Painkalac Creek. A hop, skip and a jump out the front of the house.
Being a beach house, its got a beach theme going on everywhere. From the tiles in the bathroom to the tiny places you can hang your keys. I love it!
Our rock pool bounty.
Ill be back with some more pictures next week.
Thanks for visiting today.
