Having an eggcellent day12:18:00
Whilst i'm on the chicken bandwagon of late I thought i'd take the time to show you our little family in waiting.
They are all Barnevelder eggs, except for the big white one which is a goose egg. You should feel how heavy it is. We are hatching that one for the lovely Leanne who we borrowed the incubator from.
A nice and balmy 34.6 degrees inside. We just have to turn them over three times a day.
This is one of the eggs from our two lovely ladies. Hugh loves to go and collect the eggs and is always so pleasantly surprised when he finds them.
One of the girls has become very broody the last few days so i'm surprised he was even able to get this one out from under her. Lucky he hasn't the vocabulary yet to tell me how he did it. The poor thing!
We shall soon have quite the family out in the backyard.
One week to go.
Got any good names for a chicken? We really need to name our chooks I think.
Hope you are having a nice day.
What's on the for the weekend?
Im off on my netball trip to Echuca. My first overnighter away from Edith. Just a tad excited. Its also my cousins' fiances' hens party. Double trouble!
What happens on the trip...stays on the trip! he he he!! You know how it goes...
Til next time
